On March 6th, David Gilmour turned 75, and to celebrate this special date, the Wikimetal revisited the musician's discography, selected some of our favorite songs by the Pink Floyd , and asked readers which one is their favorite.
“Comfortably Num”, from the album The Wall (1979), won with 39% of the votes, surpassing the classics “Wish You Were Here”, from the album of the same name (1975), which received 19% of the votes, “Time”, from the album The Dark Side Of The Moon (1973) which received 18% of the votes, and “Dogs”, from the album Animals (1977), which received 12% of the votes.
The winning song was composed by Gilmour and Roger Waters , who wrote the lyrics. “Comfortably Numb” was released as a single in 1979 with the B-side “Hey You” and is famous for its two flawless guitar solos.
